Welcome to CattleTrak. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website, products, and services. By purchasing our products or using our services, you agree to these Terms.
CattleTrak is operated by CattleTrak LLC, located at 765 East 340 South, Suite 204, American Fork, UT 84003.
Products and Services
CattleTrak provides GPS livestock tracking hardware (ear tags and gateways) and software services that allow you to monitor the location and activity of your livestock.
Hardware includes CattleTrak ear tags and gateways.
Software Services includes access to our tracking platform, mobile app, alerts, and data analytics.
Purchases and Payment
All prices are listed in US dollars unless otherwise stated.
When you place an order, you agree to provide accurate payment and shipping information. Payment is due at the time of purchase. We accept major credit cards and other payment methods as displayed at checkout.
All sales of hardware are final once shipped, subject to our 30-day money-back guarantee and warranty terms (see Warranty & Returns page).
Software Subscription
CattleTrak software services require an annual subscription fee of $39 per tag per year (pricing subject to change).
First Year - Your first year of software service is included with your hardware purchase.
Renewal - Your subscription will renew annually. We will notify you before renewal and charge the payment method on file unless you cancel.
Cancellation - You may cancel your subscription at any time by contacting us. If you cancel, you will retain access until the end of your current billing period. Subscription fees are non-refundable after the first 30 days.
Service Interruption - If your subscription lapses, your tracking services will be suspended. Historical data may be retained for up to 90 days. After 90 days, data may be permanently deleted.

3-Year Hardware Warranty
All CattleTrak hardware is covered by a 3-year warranty against manufacturing defects. See our Warranty & Returns page for full warranty terms and conditions.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use CattleTrak products and services only for lawful purposes. You may not:
- Use our services to track humans without their consent
- Use our services for any illegal activity
- Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or tamper with our hardware or software
- Resell or redistribute our products without authorization
- Use our services in any way that could damage, disable, or impair our systems
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.
Livestock Tracking Data
You own the livestock tracking data generated by your CattleTrak devices. We store and process this data solely to provide you with our services.
We may use anonymized, aggregated data (that cannot identify you or your animals) for research, product improvement, and industry analysis.
Accuracy and Limitations
CattleTrak provides location tracking and monitoring tools, but we do not guarantee 100% accuracy at all times. GPS signals, satellite coverage, cellular networks, weather, terrain, and other factors may affect performance.
CattleTrak is a tool to assist with livestock management. It is not a substitute for proper husbandry, fencing, or other management practices. We are not responsible for lost, stolen, injured, or deceased livestock.
Disclaimer of Warranties
EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY STATED IN OUR WARRANTY, CATTLETRAK PRODUCTS AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CATTLETRAK SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, LIVESTOCK, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OUR PRODUCTS OR SERVICES.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF OUR PRODUCTS OR SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO CATTLETRAK IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CattleTrak, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your use of our products or services or your violation of these Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Utah County, Utah.
Dispute Resolution
Before filing any legal claim, you agree to contact us at hello@cattletrak.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on our website. Your continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Warranty & Returns policy, and any other policies referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and CattleTrak.
