3-Year Hardware Warranty
All CattleTrak ear tags and gateways are covered by a 3-year warranty against manufacturing defects and hardware failures under normal use.
This includes:
- GPS module failures
- LoRaWAN, cellular, or satellite connectivity issues
- Battery defects
- Physical defects in materials or workmanship
- Gateway hardware failures
What's Not Covered:
- Physical damage from improper installation or animal removal
- Water damage from submersion beyond IP67 rating
- Damage from extreme weather events (lightning strikes, floods)
- Normal battery wear after 3+ years
- Lost or stolen devices
- Damage from unauthorized modifications
How to File a Warranty Claim:

- Provide your order number and describe the issue
- We'll troubleshoot with you first (often fixable remotely)
- If hardware replacement is needed, we'll ship you a new unit
- Return the defective unit using our prepaid shipping label
Typical warranty claims are resolved within 5-7 business days.

- Pack up the tags and gateway in original packaging (if possible)
- Ship it back to us
- Refund issued within 5 business days of receiving the return
Important: Software subscription fees are non-refundable after the 30-day period, but you won't be charged for Year 2 if you return within 30 days.

We cover return shipping for warranty claims and 30-day returns. You're responsible for shipping costs if returning for other reasons (buyer's remorse after 30 days, wrong item ordered, etc.).
